Clyde`s is a little pub on the west island of Montreal. During the school year it`s a very popular hangout for local college kids, but during the summer it always seems to be rocking with some great music, and tonight was no exeption.
Moxy fruvous returned to Montreal after a little more then a year`s absence. They played a solid 90 minutes of new, old and classic Fruvous music. The crowd loved it and what a crowd it was! Young and old(including my parents!) sang along, swayed and screamed for the fruvous four. An amazing band called the Wells opened for them. The band and the audience seemed to really enjoy them as well.
Fruvous came on at about 11pm and opened with the most incredible version of Sahara. It set the mood! They bantered for quite awhile about their promoter Mike Nash and even provide his own theme song. There new songs, Pisco Bandito and I Will Hold On were two of my favorites! We were treated to I love my boss off mic. They tend to do a few songs off mic each time they visit Montreal because of the small venues. The kid`s song went over well, of course we all yelled "NO" for should Quebec seperate?
On to some more bantering about the difference between the great city of Halifax and the province of BC. The rest of the night ent off without a hitch and it was a great concert enjoyed by all!!!Come back to Montreal sooner guys!!!
